Below is not an exhaustive list of everything we believe; rather these are our core beliefs. The hills we are willing to die on. That's not to say other beliefs aren't important, they are. But these beliefs make up the core of who we are.
We desire to be a church that is unified in their love for Jesus and desire to live for Him. We know there will be differences in our beliefs and how we live. Our hope is that these beliefs don't divide us. You can belong here before you believe everything we do. Our desire is that these beliefs lead us to be a unified church that steps into the story God has for us.
Our Core Beliefs
About God. We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and externally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
About Jesus. We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the grave and ascended to heaven where He is our advocate.
About The Holy Spirit. We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict people of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service.
About The Bible. We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and is the final authority for all Christians.
About People. We believe each person is created in the image of God and dearly loved by Him. But we became alienated from God because of our sinful disobedience. As a result, we are incapable of fixing our brokenness and regaining a right relationship with God on our own.
About Salvation. We believe that the blood Jesus shed on the cross is the sole way for us to get back to God. Our response to Jesus' sacrifice is to place our faith in Him, repent (turn from our old ways), confess our sins, be baptized, and begin a new life with the help of the Holy Spirit. We believe the gift of salvation is open to all, no one is excluded.
About The Christian Life. We believe being a Christian isn't just about the beliefs you hold, but rather about the person you follow. We believe Christians should strive to live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to God's Word and daily submitting to Jesus, every believer should grow and be conformed to the image of Christ.
About The Church. We believe the church is the hands and feet of Christ, and Jesus is the head. The members of the church are those who are following Jesus and trusting in His saving grace. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the world around us.
